Hey there, I'm David and I'm living a lifelong love for sneakers. I became fascinated with Air Jordans in the late 80s when I first saw a pair of 4s. Nike’s marketing and their athletes captivated my attention and made me care way more about sneakers than any sixth-grader should. I didn’t know it at the time but I grew up just miles away from Nike headquarters. Years later, I lived out a dream and briefly worked at Nike with a group of talented software engineers on their Product Detail Page for nike.com. I cherished every minute of it.

With a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, I combined two passions–sneakers and design–and opened Shock Drip in 2025 to offer t-shirts mostly related to sneaker culture blended with some humor. Prior to that, I invested many hours restoring and sole swapping some of my old pairs that were crumbling (like the 3s in this photo). It was a fun but time-consuming hobby and I didn't get the creative satisfaction I was looking for. All the while, I’ve been chasing Nike retro releases and other trends and outfitting my kids with sneakers I care more about than they do :-P
